Ethereum Memecoins.
Five Breakdowns.
The one built on a stolen character, the one half given away to a stranger, the one a language model designed for sixty nine dollars, and two whose whole premise is a number.
Five Ethereum memecoins with a written breakdown each: PEPE, Shiba Inu, Turbo, Mog Coin and SPX6900. What each token is, where it came from, what its supply looks like, and what is documented about its record. Every figure is dated and carries the publication it came from.
The Breakdowns
One token at a time. What it is, where it came from, and what is documented about it.
PEPE · The Largest One
The biggest memecoin built on a character with a living author who never licensed it, and why it is not a Solana token.
SHIB · Shiba Inu
Half The Supply Went To A Stranger. SHIB is an Ethereum ERC-20 memecoin launched in August 2020 by a pseudonymous creator using the name Ryoshi.
TURBO · Turbo
A Language Model Designed It For $69. Turbo is an Ethereum ERC-20 memecoin whose name, mascot, supply and smart contract were generated by GPT-4 on a $69 budget.
MOG · Mog Coin
420.69 Trillion, Fairly Launched. MOG is an Ethereum ERC-20 memecoin that markets itself as the internet’s first culture coin.
SPX · SPX6900
A Joke About The S&P That Went Up Seventeen Hundred Times. SPX6900 is an Ethereum ERC-20 memecoin built on a parody of the S&P 500 index, borrowing the recognition of the name and replacing the number with a deliberately absurd one.
How This Branch Differs
Two honest differences from the Solana side.
There Is No Live Table Here
The Solana memecoin hub carries the twenty five largest, read from CoinGecko and cached for an hour. There is no equivalent feed wired up for Ethereum on this site, so this hub carries written breakdowns and no ranking. A ranking I could not refresh would be worse than none.
Every Contract Was Checked Twice
Each address came from CoinGecko keyed by coin id, then was resolved through DexScreener and the returned symbol and name checked against the page it sits on. A wrong contract on a page like this sends a reader to a different token, and on Ethereum as on Solana there is always a different token with the same name.
The Chain Is Part Of The Story
PEPE is routinely searched for as a Solana token and is not one. Keeping these under /crypto/ethereum/ rather than at the top level is the structure answering that question before the copy has to.
Prices Are Dated Snapshots
All time highs, lows and any market figure on these pages carry a date and a source. A four year old high presented as current is how a breakdown turns into a pitch.
Launch details and events sourced from Wikipedia, Fortune via Yahoo Finance, Gate Learn and MEXC Crypto Pulse, with each figure carrying its publication in the row it appears in. Supply, contracts, all time highs and all time lows are from CoinGecko, and every contract was then resolved through DexScreener and checked against the symbol and name of the page it sits on. Prices are dated snapshots, not live figures. Nothing on this page is a price forecast.
The Rest Of The Tree
Where these sit in everything else.
Ethereum · Covered, Not Held
The chain these three run on, with the bull case and the case against at the same weight.
Ethereum NFT Collections
CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club and Pudgy Penguins, one breakdown each.
The Solana Memecoins
Eleven breakdowns and a table of the twenty five largest, refreshed hourly.
The Chain Matters.
So Does Who Drew It.
Every breakdown on this site names the chain, the supply and the person who owns the artwork, because those are the three things that decide what a memecoin actually is.
Not financial advice.
