Cody Wise started designing in 2012, at fourteen, and started his first business in 2013. He framed houses, worked concrete, cut hair until 2020, and began building websites in 2016. C. Wise Enterprise Corp. was incorporated in 2023 and the first short term rental went live in 2024. The dated record is below.

2012Design
Started Designing
Photoshop at fourteen, and that was the end of the argument. Design became the whole thing, before it was a job, before it was a business, and long before anyone was paying. The habit of opening the file and moving something until it looked right started here and never stopped.

Started Entrepreneurship
A year after the design, which is the correct order and the reason the two have never been separate since. The work has always been sold by the person who makes it.

2014–15Trades
Framing And Concrete
House framing and concrete work, on real sites, at sixteen. The first time the standard was not a matter of opinion. A wall is square or it is not, the pour is right or it is not, and the crew finds out the same day.

2015Studio
Wise Media Started
The design work got a name. It came before the code did, and that order is the reason the studio has always sold what it makes rather than selling first and finding someone to build it after.

2015–20Chair
The Barbering Years
It started in a basement renovated into a shop, became his own storefront, Alliance Barber Studio, opened in 2019, and ended working at one of the largest barber shops in Canada. Every dollar came from the person sitting in the chair, which is the fastest way there is to learn what people will pay for and what keeps them coming back. Nothing about the work since has been abstract.

Started Building Websites
Design became something that shipped. This is where the front end work starts, and it is still done by hand today for the same reason it was then: nothing between the idea and the browser.

Product Design, Software, Agencies, Short Term Rentals
Four things that look unrelated and are not. Each one taught the constraint that made the next possible, and the overlap between them is the whole advantage. More than thirty three million dollars produced for clients across a hundred and eleven founders.

The separate efforts became one structure. It is a holding company rather than a company built to be sold, and that single decision is what changes which work gets a yes.

The First Short Term Rental
The first property went live. Operating it is where the property side actually came from, and it is the reason Wise Property Management, CleanStays and Wise Property Services are run rather than advised on.

Wise Media as the product studio. Wise STR Group running Wise Property Management, CleanStays and Wise Property Services. Two of Calgary’s Top 1 percent Airbnb properties co-hosted with his wife at a 4.97 star average. Built in Calgary, and built the same way in Tulum and Dubai.
