Ten Of Sixteen Issuers
Do Not Publish The Fee.
Three cards on this site do something about foreign spend. Ten of the sixteen publish no foreign transaction fee anywhere this site could confirm, which is the finding rather than an omission. Every figure is off the issuer, read 6 September 2026.
Three cards published on this site do something about foreign spend: the Scotiabank Gold American Express charges no foreign transaction fee, the Tangerine Money-Back World Mastercard can pay two percent back on it, and the Rogers Red World Elite pays three percent on US dollar purchases. Not advice.
3 Cards, Side By Side

The 2.5 percent everyone quotes is on none of these issuer pages. American Express, MBNA and TD each defer the number to a disclosure statement issued with the card, which is why ten cells in the comparison table say so rather than printing a figure.

Common Questions
3 cards, every one of which has its own page on this site carrying the issuer wording behind each figure.
By annual fee, cheapest first. This is not a ranking. Ranking would require weighing the cards against a spending pattern, and this site does not have yours.
Each card’s own issuer page in Canada, read on 6 September 2026. No figure on any of these pages comes from a comparison site.
Probably. This list covers the cards written up on this site, each read off its issuer. A card with no page here is a card whose figures have not been read yet, not a card that failed a test.
A List Is Not
A Recommendation.
