A No Fee Card
That Changes In November.
Three percent back on US dollar purchases and two percent on everything else if you hold a Rogers service, with no annual fee. Rogers Bank has also published a notice rewriting the rewards structure on 18 November 2026. Every figure here is off Rogers Bank, read 6 September 2026.
The Rogers Red World Elite Mastercard has no annual fee and none for additional cards. It earns three percent back on eligible US dollar purchases, two percent on other eligible purchases if you hold an eligible Rogers, Fido or Shaw service, and 1.5 percent if you do not. A 2.5 percent conversion fee still applies. Not advice.
Annual Fee
$0 for additional cards as well.
US Dollar Purchases
Both customer tiers, 2.5% conversion fee still applies.
With A Rogers Service
1.5% without one.
Annual Cap
Above it, earning drops to the lower rate.
What The Card Is
Read off Rogers Bank on 6 September 2026, in their words before mine.
The Two Percent Depends On Two Things, Not One
Rogers Bank defines an eligible two percent customer as someone who is actively subscribed to at least one eligible service AND whose “relevant Rogers, Fido, Shaw or other applicable accounts are in good standing”. A late phone bill can move the card from two percent to 1.5, which is a condition on the card that lives outside the card.
The Three Percent On US Dollars Applies To Everyone
The US dollar rate does not depend on holding a Rogers service. Both tiers earn it. It is the one rate on this card that is not conditional.
The Word Unlimited Is On The Marketing Page. The Cap Is In The Legal One.
The product page says unlimited cash back. The benefits guide sets an annual cap of $61,000, above which Rogers states “your cash back earn rate will be reduced to the lower rate available”. Both are on rogersbank.com on the same day. The cap became effective 4 August 2026 and the marketing copy has not caught up.
There Is Still A 2.5 Percent Foreign Conversion Fee
Rogers Bank charges 2.5 percent of the transaction amount after conversion on foreign currency transactions on this card. Its Red World Legend card is the one exempted. Rogers nowhere states that the three percent US rate is meant to offset the fee, and this page does not assert it either.
The Arithmetic On A Free Card
There is no fee to earn back, so the arithmetic is about where the value actually lands.
The 1.5x Is A Redemption Rate, Not An Earn Rate
Rogers states rewards “will have a redemption rate of 1.5 times (or 150%) their redemption value” only when applied against eligible Rogers purchases. Redeem against anything else and it is one for one. The advertised effective returns assume you spend the rewards back inside Rogers.
That 1.5x Ends On 18 November 2026
Rogers Bank’s own change notice removes it and applies “a regular redemption rate of 1 point per $0.01” everywhere. In its place comes five percent on eligible Rogers purchases for both tiers. The value moves from spending anywhere and redeeming at Rogers, to spending at Rogers.
The Base Rates Survive The Change
Two percent for eligible two percent customers, 1.5 percent otherwise, three percent on US dollars, and the same $61,000 cap. Only the redemption multiplier and the new Rogers earn rate move.
Ten Dollars Is The Floor
Minimum redemption is $10, redeemable in the app or as an annual statement credit requested by phone before 1 December. Rewards do not expire while the account is open.
The Case Against Carrying It
Same standard as every other page here.
You Are Buying A Structure With Weeks Left
Anyone opening this card today is opening the version that ends on 18 November 2026. That is not a reason not to, it is a reason to read the notice rather than the product page.
The Best Rate Requires Being A Rogers Customer In Good Standing
Two percent is not the rate of this card. It is the rate of this card plus a telecom relationship, and the relationship has to stay current.
The Emergency Medical Window Is Very Short
Ten days for ages 64 and under, three days for 65 up to and including 75. On a card marketed with travel insurance, three days is a weekend.
Unlimited Is Not Unlimited
A $61,000 cap on a card whose page says unlimited is the exact failure mode the card stack page warns about: read the cap, not the headline.
How It Sits In A Stack
Not advice. How this card reads next to the others published here.
It Is A US Dollar Card First
Three percent on US dollar spend at no annual fee is the reason to hold it. The 2.5 percent conversion fee is a separate line and does not disappear.
It Pairs With A Rogers Bill, Not With A Wallet
The two percent tier and the current 1.5x redemption both point back at the same company. If you are not a Rogers, Fido or Shaw customer, this is a 1.5 percent card.
After November It Becomes A Rogers Spending Card
Five percent on Rogers purchases and a flat one cent redemption everywhere is a different product with the same name.
What Could Not Be Confirmed
In circulation, and not on the issuer page. Printed rather than dropped.
The Purchase Interest Rate. Rogers Bank Publishes Two.
The card details page states 20.99 percent on purchases. The Disclosure Summary, version 08/2026, states 21.99 percent. Both were live on rogersbank.com on 6 September 2026 and nothing on the site reconciles them. The Disclosure Summary is the governing document and is the newer of the two, which suggests the marketing page is stale, but Rogers Bank does not say so and this page will not assert it. The cash advance rate is 22.99 percent in both.
The Welcome Offer
No welcome or sign up offer appears on the card details page or the help centre. The Rogers Bank special offers page returned a redirect loop on every attempt on 6 September 2026, so this is reported as not verified rather than as no offer.
All figures read off Rogers Bank’s own Canadian pages and legal documents for the Rogers Red World Elite Mastercard on 6 September 2026: annual fee free and additional cardholders free, minimum income stated as $80,000 personal or $150,000 household, three percent in rewards on eligible purchases made in United States dollars, two percent on other eligible purchases for customers actively subscribed to at least one eligible Rogers, Fido or Shaw service with relevant accounts in good standing, 1.5 percent otherwise, an annual cap of $61,000 stated in the benefits guide version 08/2026 above which the earn rate is reduced to the lower rate available, a foreign currency conversion fee of 2.5 percent of the transaction amount after conversion with the Red World Legend card exempted, a cash advance rate of 22.99%, a minimum redemption of $10, and a change notice dated for 18 November 2026 removing the 1.5 times Rogers redemption multiplier, applying a regular redemption rate of one point per $0.01 and adding five percent in rewards on eligible Rogers purchases. The purchase interest rate is published by Rogers Bank as both 20.99% and 21.99% on different pages and is printed above as unconfirmed. No figure on this page comes from a comparison site. Cody Wise does not hold this card.

A Rate Is Not A Return
Until You Spend There.
Every accelerated rate in Canada is a rate on one category. The only question that matters is whether that category is where your money actually goes.
Not financial advice.
