Bitcoin ETFs.
Every Fee, Side By Side.

Eleven spot bitcoin funds trade in the United States and they hold the same asset. The fee is most of what separates them, and it ranges from 0.15 percent to 0.25 percent. The Canadian funds on the TSX cost several times more.

Spot bitcoin ETFs hold bitcoin directly rather than futures. In the United States the cheapest is Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust at 0.15 percent, and most of the rest sit at 0.20 to 0.25 percent. In Canada the TSX funds run from 0.40 percent to 1.00 percent. They all hold the same asset, so the fee is the main durable difference between them.

BITB and EZBC trade and are real funds. Their fee is shown as not confirmed because the issuer page did not render a fee I could read on 17 September 2026, and a figure I cannot trace does not get printed as though it were checked.

What Actually Separates Them

Three things, and one of them is not a thing at all.

The Fee, Which Is Most Of It

These funds hold the same asset in the same way. Over a long hold the fee is the difference, it compounds against you, and it is the one input you can know in advance. Ten basis points on a large position is not a rounding error.

The Custodian

Most of the US funds custody with Coinbase. That is a concentration nobody chose deliberately and it is worth knowing before you decide a second fund gives you diversification. Two funds at the same custodian are less diversified than they look.

Not Performance

Every spot fund tracks the same price. Comparing their returns tells you about tracking and fee drag, not about skill, and any table ranking them by return is measuring noise.

The Asset Itself

A fund is a wrapper. These are the pages on what is inside it, written the same way and carrying no price either.

Fees, launch dates and staking status were read off each issuer’s own page on 17 September 2026 and are linked below. Nothing here is a price, a return or a flow figure.
