Technology
AI has made execution cheap, so shipping fast is no longer a moat. Four things still cannot be cloned: a point of view, proof you actually did the work, taste in what you choose to make, and trust earned over time. Three of those can be built this quarter. Trust only rewards patience.
Cloning is cheap now. Your landing page, your funnel, your ad angles, and your content format can all be reproduced by a competitor in an afternoon. If your advantage was that you executed faster than the next person, that advantage has been priced to zero.
The Unclonable Four
- Point of view. What you believe that your category does not. Copyable as words, not as conviction.
- Proof. Work you actually shipped and numbers you actually moved. A competitor can claim it, but cannot have done it.
- Taste. What you choose to leave out. Tools generate options, taste selects them.
- Trust. The accumulated record of doing what you said. It has no shortcut and no AI version.
Why Reputation Is Now The Scarce Thing
When output becomes abundant, attention moves to the filter rather than the supply. Buyers stop asking who can build this and start asking who they would rather be in a room with for six months. That is a brand question, not a capability question.
Three of the four can be built this quarter. Trust is the one that only pays for patience, which is exactly why it is worth the most.
The Practical Version
Publish the point of view rather than the tips. Show the work with the numbers attached. Kill the assets that are technically fine but say nothing. Then keep every commitment you make for long enough that people stop checking.
What To Do This Week
Pick the weakest of the four in your business and fix that one. Not all four. The weakest one is where every marketing dollar is currently leaking.
